Ersiliadanza



La compagnia Ersiliadanza deve il nome ad Ersilia, una delle “città invisibili” di Italo Calvino, autore a cui la coreografa Laura Corradi si è spesso ispirata per le sue coreografie. Laura Corradi ha vissuto a Parigi dal 1983 al 1986, città in cui si è perfezionata con coreografi quali Jean Gaudin, Peter Goss, Raza Hammadi, Viviane Serry, Carolyn Carlson. In seguito si è trasferita ad Essen, ospite per un anno della Folkwang Hochschule diretta da Pina Bausch. E proprio qui Laura Corradi ha iniziato l'attività coreografica, sottoponendo al giudizio di Malou Airaudo e Susanne Linke le sue prime creazioni. Rientrata in Italia ha fondato, nel 1987, la compagnia Ersiliadanza, che inizia la propria attività vincendo il primo premio per la Coreografia al Concorso internazionale Città di Cagliari. Nel 2001 rappresenta la danza contemporanea italiana ai Repèrages a Lille, in Francia, e vince il premio del Presidente al Concour International Choregraphique Prix Volinine di Parigi.
In questi anni le coreografie di Laura Corradi sono state proposte con grande successo in numerosi festival e rassegne, in particolare in Italia, Francia e Olanda. Tra i maggiori successi Non è bello che un re si allunghi al suolo (1991), Achillemente, studio per un eroe in bilico (1996), La mandria – con tutto il corpo che c’è (2001), L’ora del bagno (2003, La casa (2005), Four dogs night. Perché si muore di coerenza (2006).

The Ersiliadanza company owes its name to Ersilia, one of the Invisibile Cities of Italo Calvino, the author by whom the choreographer Laura Corradi  has often inspired for her choreographies. Laura Corradi lived in Paris from 1983 to 1986, and in this city she sharpened her skills under the guide of choreographers such as Jean Gaudin, Peter Goss, Raza Hammadi Viviane Serry, Carolyn Carlson. She then went to Essen, hosted for a year by the Volkwang Hochschule directed by Pina Bausch. And it was here that Laura Corradi started her activity as a choreographer, submitting her first creations to the judgment of Malou Airado and Susanne Linke. After returning to Italy, she founded, in 1987, the Ersiliadanza company, which began its activity winning first prize for the choreography at the City of Cagliari International Contest. In 2001 the company represented Italy at the Repèrages in Lille, France, and won the President’s prize at the Concour International Choreographique Prix Volinine of Paris. In these years Laura  Corradi’s choreographies have been performed with great success in many festivals and shows, mainly in Italy, France and Holland. Among her major successes are “It’s not seemly for a king to stretch himself on the ground (1991); Acchillemente, Study for a hero on the verge (1996), The herd – with all the body there is (2001); Bath time (2003); The house (2005); Four dogs night .
