|
Born in Texas, he is an author and lecturer of international repute. He has photographed for magazines such as Esquire and Rolling Stone, as well as having realised the accompanying images for the albums of a number of renowned groups, including R.E.M. He holds the "Walles Chair of Art" at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, where he lives. He was recently chosen as the subject of an arts profile on the well known American network television show, CBS Sunday Morning. He has published eight monographic books: From uncertain to blue(1988), The blue man(1990), Mojo (1992), Heaven of animals( 1995), Bones (1996), Keith Carter photographs: 25 years(1997), Holding venus (2000) and Ezekiel's horse (2000). His works are included in numerous private and public collections, among which, those at the Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the George Estman House and at the Museum of Photographic Arts, in San Diego. He has held over seventy personal exhibitions in eight countries. This is his first exhibition in Italy. |

Milanese by adoption but Veronese by birth, Mauro Fiorese has always worked in both Italy and the US as a professional photographer, author and lecturer. A great traveller and tireless artist, Fiorese has always realised long term projects, often of a social nature, which have frequently taken him abroad for long periods of time. For many years, he worked in collaboration with the magazines Abitare and Ottagono, for which he also wrote and documented articles from New York. His images have also been published in Stileindustria, If/IBM, Foto Pratica immagini, Foto graphia, Why magazine and Foto Mundo. He is a Professor in Photographic History and Language at the ‘Accademia di Belle Arti Cignaroli’ in Verona and lectures Photographic Reporting at the ‘Istituto Europeo di Design’ in Milan. He published the book CORPOLIBERO, which in 1997 was included in the TOP 100 World Photographers list by the Golden Light Award in the US. |

His works are included in several private and public collections, among which, the collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas. He has participated in many collective and personal exhibitions in Europe, the US, Canada and Japan. |

John Wood A poet and photography critic, he has won numerous international awards. He was co-curator of the show "Secrets of the Dark Chamber" held at the Smithsonian Institute in 1995. He is also the editor of "21st:The Journal of Contemporary Photography" and has published four volumes of poetry and fifteen books on the critique and history of photography. He is a professor of English Literature and of the History of Photography at McNeese University in Louisiana. His most recent book, Selected Poems 1968 - 1998, was published in 2000. |
