Fulvio Roiter, Sicilia, La Lettera, 1953
Sicilia, La lettera, 1953

An exhibition dedicated to the work of the photographer Fulvio Roiter will be inaugurated in Verona, at the Scavi Scaligeri International Photography Centre.

Organised by the Istituto Superiore per la Storia della Fotografia, with the contribution of Leica and of Azienda Agricola Fratelli Muratori, the exhibition is the fruit of patient research work which brings together the magnificent works of a major exponent of Italian photographic realism.

The more than 200 photographs displayed, of which 100 are unpublished, allow appreciation of the work of a master of the photographic art, whose black and white shots made him famous all over the world. Alongside the photographs of Roiter the exhibition offers a collection of period magazines, books, original documents and autograph letters.

The exhibition is supervised by Naomi Rosenblum, emeritus professor of the History of Photography at the University of New York, and by Paolo Morello, professor of History of Photography at the IUAV in Venice.
